Home Dojo Shidoshi Charles Benham

Nanadan - 7th DanShidoshi Charles Benham lives and teaches in Denver, Colorado and currently holds the rank of 7th Dan - Nanadan in Bujinkan.

He began his martial arts journey at the age of 5 when his parents enrolled him in Judo.


While he only attended the class for a month, the martial seeds were planted.  Over the years he has trained in Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido, Aikido and DeCuerdas Eskrima.

Shidoshi Benham With Oguri Shihan


Shidoshi Benham began training in Ninpo Taijutsu in 1992 in Denver.  After a hiatus of nearly 10 years he returned to train in Budo Taijutsu under Shihan Richard Van Donk earning his black belt in 2004.


Since then, Shidoshi Benham has traveled several times to Japan with Shihan Van Donk to train with Soke Hatsumi and the Japanese Shihan.  On February 22, 2009, Charles passed the Godan test at the Hombu Dojo becoming a full Shidoshi (teacher of the warrior ways).
